Hi Columbian Families!

This is my first year at Columbian Elementary and my first year in DPS!   I’ve been a math educator for the past 13 years in various middle school and elementary classrooms in the Chicagoland area.  I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with my elementary education degree and then earned my Masters Degree from DePaul University in Math Education.  I’ve been an instructional math coach for the past 8 years supporting and partnering with teachers to create meaningful and rigorous math instruction.

My husband and I recently moved from Chicago to Denver with our 3 children (Ben – 7, Aven – 4, and Griffin – 2) and our dog Brecken.  We love being outdoors and going on adventures with our children.  Most weekends you can find us hiking, camping, playing in rivers, skiing, or just enjoying the beautiful Colorado landscape.  I love music and going to concerts, running and being active, and spending time with my family and friends.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Columbian community.  I am passionate about creating mathematical communities where all students feel empowered to learn and love math and I can’t wait to go on this journey with all of you!
