In Room 104  (MI intermediate), our brand-new reading and math materials are linked to Colorado educational standards.  Please ask me if you are interested in seeing the expanded benchmarks.  They guide my plans for instruction.
Please expect homework every day except Friday.  Your child should be able to complete the work without assistance, and put it in her backpack to bring back the next day.  Sometimes the homework will involve reading to or with a family member or friend.  Please make the most of every opportunity to read with, talk with, and listen to your child.
We welcome your extended visits in our class at any time.  We need our  parents, grandparents, family members.  Looking to the exciting year ahead, I believe these words to be true:   
For each agree they would have failed if each had worked alone.
For behind the parent stood the school;  and behind the teacher, the home.
