Hi, I’m Leslie Peterson, known as ‘Ms. L” at school. I am a Denver native and a product of DPS myself. I’ve been in the field of special education longer than many of you have even been alive! It’s hard for me to believe that I’ve been teaching in the Multi-Intensive program for the past 20 years – all at Columbian! Clearly I love my profession and my school! I consider it an honor and a privilege to be entrusted with educating students who have disabilities and watching them grow into such capable and amazing human beings. I spend most of my personal time with my beautiful, miracle dog, Zia, who owns my heart and makes me laugh every day.
